What is WGEA?

The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) is the professional organization of supreme audit institutions (SAI) in countries that belong to the United Nations or its specialized agencies. INTOSAI was founded in 1953 and has grown from the original 34 countries to a membership of over 180 SAIs.

  • INTOSAI WGEA 8th Survey on Environmental Auditing

    We are pleased to announce the INTOSAI WGEA 8th survey on Environmental Auditing. This survey focusses on the auditing work related to environmental matters conducted by SAIs worldwide from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2014. We encourage SAIs to spare some time and contribute by submitting your answer by 30 April 2015.

  • FOCUS ON FRAUD AND CORRUPTION web page has been launched

    The Secretariat has the pleasure to inform that the Focus on Fraud and Corruption web page is now available. Relevant materials to audit the area, including the guidance material can be found here. Additionally, a learning tool has been developed - an excellent assistant and support for the auditors. Selection of Environmental Audits


The Secretariat distributed the last Environmental Audit collection form in the end of October among all INTOSAI members. The forms are requested to be sent to the Secretariat by 30 November 2014 at the latest.

EAs can be sent anytime using the same form. The form can be found under News & Events bullet Environmental Audit Collection 2011.

The 2014 Environmental Audits collected by the Secretariat are now available. Among them are joint EAs which can be found in the table below.
