Projects under 2008-2010 work plan of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) are listed below. Project work plans, related material, and final products will be posted also, as they become available.

We hope that our products and services will enable SAIs to conduct environmental audits no matter their level of experience.

CHAIR'S PROGRESS REPORT ON THE STATUS OF THE PROJECTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES, SEPTEMBER 2009

 

There are five new guidance materials under development this working period. It was a common interest and need for the project leaders that the documents have a similar approach and structure. Hence, a paper that gathers the main recommenations was issued:

Projects 2005-2007

Projects under the 2005–2007 work plan of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) include the production, by WGEA member countries, of products and services such as: guidance on how to plan and carry out audits on biodiversity; paper providing insights on the evolution and trends of environmental audits; documenting countries' progress and actions on commitments from the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD); tips and examples for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) conducting co-operative audits; on-line continued guidance to conduct waste and water audits; the development of the Fifth survey distributed to the entire INTOSAI community on environmental auditing.
