Data Errors, Corrections, and Disclaimer

The INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) and the Office of the Auditor General of Canada follow procedures that are designed to ensure that data disseminated in their department is of reasonable quality. If users encounter inaccurate information, they may contact us. Neither the INTOSAI WGEA nor the Office of the Auditor General guarantees the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the data provided.

Language Policy

The official language for all INTOSAI working groups is English. Although the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) conducts its activities in English, some documents, such as guidelines and surveys produced by the WGEA, are translated into the other four official languages of INTOSAI – French, Spanish, German, and Arabic.

The WGEA Web site is composed of primarily English content. However, in order to facilitate access to documentation produced or made available in any of the other official INTOSAI languages, we have created French, Spanish, German, and Arabic content pages on this Web site.

The content page for each of the four other official languages contains the titles and may contain actual environmental audits produced and made available by supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in the language of that page. For the titles or audits provided, there is also an indication of whether they can be accessed in any of the other official languages. This same format applies to approved INTOSAI and WGEA proceedings, studies, and guidelines on environmental auditing.

On the Web page presenting the environmental audits produced by SAIs, we will also indicate in which other languages the documents are available.

How to Submit Audit Reports?

SAI member countries may choose to submit their environmental auditing report titles, summaries, and full text documents for inclusion on the WGEA Web site. All reports listed will include a link to the SAI country contact page, giving the reader an opportunity to contact the SAI for further information.

Here are the procedures to follow in order for a SAI to have its environmental report titles listed on the WGEA Web site:

  1. The report title, the name of the SAI member country, date published, audit issue* and audit type** must be available in English.
  2. To be listed in the “other language” sections of the Web site, the name of the SAI member country, the report title, date published, language, audit issue,* and audit type** must be available in one or more of the other official INTOSAI languages: French, Spanish, German, or Arabic.
  3. A SAI may choose to indicate any other language than the five INTOSAI languages that a summary or full text report is available in, such as Swedish or Hebrew.
  4. The report titles information must be submitted electronically to the WGEA Web site contact.

In order for a SAI to have its report summaries and/or full environmental audits included on the WGEA Web site, the following language criteria must be met:

  1. The report summary or full text document must be available in any of the five INTOSAI languages.
  2. The report titles criteria listed above must be met.
  3. The documents must be available in Adobe Acrobat “pdf” format.
