Save the date! The 21st Assembly of the INTOSAI WGEA on 4-6 July 2022

The 21^st INTOSAI WGEA Assembly meeting will be held on July 4-6 and the first time in a hybrid format. This year, the host of the Assembly is SAI Maldives. Due to the uncertainties caused by the pandemic, the number of the participants invited physically to the Maldives will be limited, at least for the time being, to the Steering Committee, while the others have change to follow the event online via live stream. We will however do our best to make the Assembly an enjoyable event for everyone.

During this three- day event, the first day will be dedicated for the main topic, which is “Raising resilience” in the context of climate change adaptation. We will focus the discussion on the implications the concept has for public sector budgets, risk assessments and the work of Supreme Audit Institutions. On the second day of the Assembly, we will present the 2020-2022 Work Package reports and further elaborate the topics of plastic waste, climate finance, sustainable transport, and policy coherence. The third day will be dedicated for the business meeting including the future strategy of the WGEA, the work plan for 2023-2025 and regional updates. Finally, we will celebrate WGEA’s 30^th anniversary!
